Important Information:

• Registrations close on June 21st, 2023.
• All players must abide by the host rules for the event. These rules will be communicated to the participants prior to the start of the tournament.
• Two feather shuttles will be provided for each game, with matches played on a best-of-three-sets format to 21 points per set. The host reserves the right to change the game format (number of points) if necessary.
• All players must be available to play for the entire day from 8AM to 8PM on July 15th, 2023.
• All events will take place on the same day.
• Prizes will be distributed by the chief guest only after the finals are held. All prizes can be collected on the same day.

Definitions:

• Venue: Save Max Sports Center, 1495 Sandalwood Parkway East, Brampton, ON, L6R0K2.

Tournament Format:

• The tournament will be held on a knockout basis, meaning that a player or team will be eliminated from the tournament after one loss.
• Matches will be played on a best-of-three-games format, with a rally points system to 21 points per set. The format may be subject to change depending on the number of entries, and any changes will be communicated to the participants prior to the start of the tournament.
• All participants must sign in at least 10 minutes prior to the start of their first match and must be available to play for the entire day. If a player is unavailable when their match is called, a walkover will be given to the opponent. A grace period of 10 minutes will be given before a walkover is awarded.
• Each match will begin with a 2-minute warm-up period, followed by the start of play.
• There will be a 1-minute break at the 11-point interval of each set and a 2-minute break between sets.
• Coaching is permitted between sets and intervals.
• Umpiring and line calls will be done by the players until the finals. The tournament desk will have the final decision on any disputes.

If the tournament is cancelled for any reason, we will issue full refunds for all entry fees paid within 10 business days.

Tournament categories:

• Men’s Singles, Womens’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles.
• Maximum number of players/teams for each category are Men's singles 64, Women's singles 32, Men's doubles 64 teams, Women's doubles 32 teams and Mixed doubles 64 teams.
• Format of tournament is subject to change depending on the number of entries and the host has the right to cancel any events.

Players hereby indemnify and serve the Host and any of its officials from all eventualities arising from being at the premises, no matter the cause. The undersigned also realizes that any physical activity involves a risk of serious illness, permanent disability, death, or other losses, due to inactivity or negligence of players, and releases the Host and its officials from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever while participating in this tournament.

Players hereby allow permission to the Host to publish pictures/videos of them on their website and in their media.

Disclosure: The Host and its organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the tournament format without prior notice.
